Art Deco Train Station Balance, Belgium, 1930s
Old Train Station Balance from the Art Deco Period. This Railway Balance was made in Belgium by the Company Automates Belges, which was located in Brussels since 1922. This Industrial Style balance was placed in train stations so people could weigh themselves after putting a coin the machine. You got your weight on a small thick cardboard ticket, and no-one around could see your weight on the balance. This weighing machine is made from thick metal, has a window to view the mechanic, 2 enamel signs and a cast iron base. We sell this awesome automaton as a spectacular decoration object in not working order.
