Art Deco Sculpture Lady with Birds by Uriano, 1920s
1920s Art Deco sculpture of a lady with birds. This large piece of art was made and signed by Uriano , an Italian artist ( 1887 – 1960 ) who worked in France. This piece dates circa 1920 – 1930 and consists of a huntress shooting two birds. It’s a very detailed sculpture made from spelter, silvered skin and a base of various colored venous marble and onyx. The ivory or bone bow is no longer with the sculpture, but there is an alernative one added. It has traces by age, use and maintenance; gilded colors on a bird and dress are gone but it stays a spectacular large art deco piece.
